Mallorcan Farmhouse, Pollenca
A 400-year old farmhouse in Mallorca in need of restoration is a challenge to any girls' portfolio. The house whilst in a stunning location had overgrown gardens, a real lack of any modern day appliances (not to mention running water) and needed a real rethink both in terms of the building work and interior design to make it into the beautiful shabby chic villa it is today.
This was a long project, mainly managed from the UK and involved me taking a Spanish IGCSE along the way to be able to understand the builders!
Really understanding and getting into the feel of what makes a rustic Spanish farmhouse mix with contemporary quality required by todays villa rentals market was a challenge which was achieved at Finca La Punta.
